2-B House, Nimbin

A work in progress…a one bedroom off-grid studio, perched over a beautiful natural gully on the edge of a small rainforest outside Nimbin, in northern NSW.  Sunlight and water are both harvested, stored and used sparingly. Through the use of a composting toilet and reed-bed waste-water filtration all waste is recycled. Setting the structure to hover lightly over the land in an existing clearing facilitates natural run-off and minimises the impact on existing flora and fauna.
